PELOPONNESE - GREECE The Marathea Center is close to Marathea, between the forest, mountains and the sea; in the southern Peloponnese 10 km south of Gythion which is 45 km south of Sparta. It is the point of entry to the mani peninsula from the east. The region is graced by endless sandy beaches, a turquoise sea and rugged mountains. It’s ancient history is ever present. Accommodation In fully equipped twin-bedded studios. The four ground floor studios have a veranda with view of the sea. The first floor has a balcony with views of the Taygetos. How to get to Marathea Fly to Athens, then by bus from Athens to Gythion (via Corinth and Sparta) approx. 5 hours. Then take a taxi from Gythion to Marathea.
