Location: 10 minutes walk from the village of Skoutari and nearest beach.

Food: There are many restaurants in the village and each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen. We will also organise dinners and parties with the whole group.

to be paid on arrival. The deposit is not refundable after 1 June 09 Skoutari: Is a little fishing village in the southern Peloponnese 15 km south of Gythion which is 45 km south of Sparta. It is the point of entry to the mani peninsula from the east. The region is graced by endless sandy beaches, a turquoise sea and rugged mountains. It’s ancient history is ever present. |

How to get to Skoutari: By bus from Athens to Gythion (via Corinth and Sparta) approx. 4 hours. Then by taxi from Gythion to Skoutari.

Course Teachers: Massimo
Cantara is a registered practitioner with the Shiatsu Society (since 1992) and a committee
member of the Italian Shiatsu Federation. He is the director of “Holismos” a
natural therapy centre in Tuscany, Italy and the director of the Shiatsu school
Polaris-Shiatsu Institute also based in Tuscany. He is also a fully trained kinesiologist
and cranio sacral therapist. Massimo originally trained as a
percussionist and he still performs regularly with his Brazilian samba band Bandao.
Massimo speaks Italian and English.
Gerry Rixen has been a Shiatsu therapist and teacher since 1992. He is the
founder and director of the Shiatsu and Yoga school SYM and teaches mostly in the south of
France but also in Sweden, Italy and Greece. He has studied with many teachers in Europe
but also in Japan and Brazil.
Gerry is a qualified Sivananda yoga teacher but also practiced the Iyengar
method for many years. He holds the rank of 4th Dan Shorinji Kempo
Instructor (japanese martial art and zen school). In this capacity he founded the
South London children's club in 1990 and the official branch in Montpellier, south of
France, in 1997.
Before dedicating himself full time to Shiatsu and Yoga he worked as a language teacher
and tv-news reporter and producer. Gerry speaks English, French, German and Spanish.
