What is Yoga ?

Yoga is an integral system developed by the ancient sages of India to keep the physical and mental faculties strong in order to evolve our consciousness and spirit. It is a science of balance,  harmony and spiritual progress.

Yoga can be divided into 5 principles: proper exercise, proper breathing, proper relaxation, proper diet and positive thinking and meditation.

Yoga first focuses on physical health:   improving posture, toning the muscles and keeping the joints supple but goes much further, strengthening the nervous and immune systems, regulating the hormonal system and massaging and stimulating the internal organs.

Practicing postures with deep breathing, relaxation and concentration also develops mental control.

Proper breathing circulates vital energy, deep relaxation removes stress and anxiety, a good diet provides fuel for the body, meditation develops heart and  spirit.
